Job Description

The Principal will work closely with relevant parties to ensure the successful running of The City School in Dubai. Key responsibilities of the role will be to:

* Support start-up process and Knowledge & Human Development Authority (KHDA) registration

* Support pupil recruitment and the recruitment of initial teaching staff

* Support the development of policies and procedures

* Ensure strong day-to-day management of the school

* Ensure compliance with KHDA requirements and other local regulations

* Ensure a strong relationship with parents and other stakeholders is maintained

* Ensure the financial success, stability and growth of the school over time

Candidates must meet the following requirements:

* Relevant and appropriate teaching experience and qualifications

* Experience of no less than three cumulative years in education leadership at a senior management level or above

* A proven track record of leadership and academic achievement gained in a reputable international school with a working knowledge of the British and Cambridge Curriculum

* For those who have not previously worked in Dubai or those who are not yet a Head of School, a postgraduate degree or diploma in an aspect of education is desirable

* The candidate must be an inspirational leader with the self-confidence and determination to articulate the school’s vision. The candidate will be expected to demonstrate that they meet a number of criteria encompassing experience and qualifications, leadership competencies and personal characteristics
