At Gabbitas Education we understand that some students prefer not to return home during the holiday periods and would rather stay in the UK. However, as accommodation attached to an educational establishment is normally closed during this time, it can often be very difficult for students to know what to do and where to go.
How can Gabbitas Education help?
Our Holiday Homestay enables your child to enhance their experience of British culture by staying with a welcoming and approved Gabbitas Education Guardian/Host Family in the UK over the longer holiday periods.
What options are available?
We have three levels of Holiday Homestay to choose from:
- Homestay – where students stay with a family from one to four weeks over the Easter, Summer and Christmas holidays.
- Homestay Plus – this option includes a one to four week stay with a family as well as a trip to enjoy an aspect of British culture and two recreational activities.
- Part Homestay & Part Activity – we can create a programme tailored to your child. For example, they could attend a one-week residential horse riding camp followed by a one-week residential tennis/English language camp and finish with a one-week’s stay with a Guardian/Host Family.
How can we guarantee the quality of the Guardian/Host Family?
Gabbitas Education has been looking after students since 1873 and we offer a first class service to our clients. We have connections with the UK’s leading child protection agency, the NSPCC, and have excellent working relationships with schools and universities across the country.
All our families are carefully checked for suitability and Gabbitas Education is on hand for the entire duration with 24/7 emergency support.
What about travel arrangements?
We can also help with all travel arrangements using our trusted car service (all drivers are DBS checked and have appropriate insurance for transporting minors) or assisting with public transport bookings.
